These are the terms of the Point Diesel repair status text message program — what we send, how often, and how to stop at any time.
Effective August 28, 2026
Point Diesel Services LLC sends text messages about the status of your own repair order: that we received your unit, that an estimate is ready for you to review and approve, that a technician found an additional issue, that repairs are in progress, and that your unit is ready for pickup.
Every message relates to work you have brought to our shop. This is not a marketing program — we do not send promotions, offers or advertising by text.
You join by giving us your mobile number when you drop off a unit and telling us you would like text updates. Consent is collected in person at intake. There is no web form, and we never add a number that was not given to us directly by its owner.
Giving us your number is optional. If you prefer, we will reach you by phone, WhatsApp or email instead.
When you drop off a unit, the manager asks how you would like to receive updates on your repair — a phone call, WhatsApp, a text message, or email. If you choose text messages, we ask which mobile number to use and, before recording anything, read you this:
“Point Diesel Services LLC will text you about your repair order and its invoice: when we receive your unit, when an estimate or a new finding needs your approval, if a deposit is needed, while work is in progress, when your unit is ready, and when your invoice is ready. Most repairs are two to six messages, and a complex one can be more. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP any time to stop, or HELP for help. Our privacy policy and SMS terms are at pointdieselservices.com. Is that OK?”
Only after you say yes is your answer recorded, on your customer profile, with the date you gave it. We do not text a number before that record exists.
The record belongs to the number, not to you: if you give us a different mobile number later, the earlier answer does not carry over and we ask you again before texting the new one.
Message frequency depends on your repair. Most repair orders produce between two and six messages, sent as the work reaches each stage; a complex repair with several findings can produce more, and a deposit request or an invoice adds one each. We do not send messages on a schedule and we do not send reminders you did not ask for.
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure.
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number immediately. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that.
If you change your mind, reply START to begin receiving messages again, or just tell us next time you are at the shop.
Reply HELP to any message and you will receive our contact information. You can also reach the shop directly at (956) 534-5911 or shop@pointdieselservices.com.
The number our automated updates come from is not monitored — nobody reads replies sent to it, other than STOP, START and HELP, which are handled automatically. To reach a person, use the shop number above.
This program is available on major U.S. carriers, and carrier support may change without notice. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages: delivery depends on your carrier's network and on your device.
Your mobile number is used to send you updates about your repair order and for nothing else. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
